AAHM education fair provides health, lifestyle information to Kadena Air Base

Annette Mabry, Airman and Family Readiness Center Exceptional Family Member program coordinator, and Patricia Gillette, Behavioral Health Optimization Program psychologist, discuss their presentations with each other at the African American History Month education fair on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Feb. 11, 2014. The A&FRC provides resources for service members and their families such as financial programs and preparing Airmen for life after the military. The BHOP embeds behavioral health providers, typically psychologists or social workers, within the primary care clinic to deliver brief, behaviorally-based interventions that emphasize education, skill-building, self-management and home-based strategies.
