Kadena celebrates the Air Force's 67th birthday

U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. James Hecker, 18th Wing commander, and Airman Kevin O'Leary, 18th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, cut the Air Force's birthday cake with a saber during the 2014 Air Force Ball on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Sept. 13, 2014. Keeping with tradition, a slice of cake is given to the most senior ranking and junior ranking Airmen to signify respect and honor afforded to experience and seniority while symbolizing how our experienced Airmen have nurtured and led young Airmen to fill the ranks.
