Okinawa MOFA shares Okinawan culture with Kadena members

Volunteers and Bunbukan Karate instructors bow after a demonstration on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Dec. 12, 2014. The demonstration followed a cultural brief to increase Airmen's awareness of how Okinawa's past relates to local attitudes toward the U.S. military today. Members also had an opportunity to see and participate in a Karate demonstration led by Masahiro Nakamoto, Okinawa Traditional Kobudo Preservation Society president, and his assistants.
