Kadena's firefighters give hands-on training to first responders
Masao Itokazu, 18th Civil Engineering Squadron crew chief, briefs the functionality of the KC-135 Stratotanker during an annual bilateral aircraft mishap hands-on training on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Oct. 28, 2014. Approximately 50 local national representatives from local police, fire departments and other Japanese participants attended the training conducted by Kadena's fire department. The hands-on training provided the first responders a great opportunity to understand characteristics of different aircraft and strengthen initial response capabilities.
