18th Wing commander's final flight on Kadena

U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. James B. Hecker prepares for his final flight as the 18th Wing commander on Kadena Air Base, Japan, March 24, 2015. Hecker was selected to be a major general and has been reassigned as the director of plans, programs, and requirements at Headquarters Air Combat Command on Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. Military aviators have a tradition where aircrew members upon completion of their final flight, or "fini flight" are met and hosed down with water by their squadron comrades, family, and friends.
