Kadena preps for Typhoon Goni

A U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System from the 961st Airborne Air Control Squadron takes off from Kadena Air Base, Japan, to avoid damaging winds and debris from an approaching typhoon Aug. 21, 2015. In standard preparation of typhoons like Typhoon Goni, which is slated to strike this weekend, numerous flying squadrons on the base relocate their aircraft to other bases in the region to protect them from the damaging winds and debris.
