Honorary commanders visit Kadena

Kadena’s honorary commanders listen to a briefing about Kadena Air Base during a tour Sept. 29, 2015, on Kadena Air Base, Japan. The honorary commander program is designed to build better relationships and reinforce ties between the U.S. military and local community. The briefing was on the 18th Maintenance Group’s mission and how it is accomplished. The 18th MXG ensures that the F-15 Eagles are maintained 24/7 so they are ready to help maintain strategic access and freedom of movement across all domains in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. It is important that the aircraft are properly maintained in order to protect and defend Kadena’s partners and allies. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Lynette M. Rolen)
