40 locals from Okinawa City visit Kadena sacred sites

A local Okinawan prepares a ceremonial meal in front of a tomb at the Morine Bijiru during the annual sacred sites visit Oct. 21, 2015, on Kadena Air Base, Japan. The purpose of the visit is to give the local Okinawans an opportunity to pray for the safety, happiness and health of family members and also to show respect to their ancestors where they once lived.
