U.S. Air Force Capt. Cole Holloway a pilot from the 67th Fighter Squadron, looks at an F-15C Eagle Dec. 14, 2018, on Kadena Air Base, Japan. After accomplishing his childhood dream of becoming a fighter pilot, Holloway found out he had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis also known as ALS. Currently, there is no known cure for the fatal disease, however, Holloway attributes his ability to cope with his diagnosis through his experience as a fighter pilot.
