The 18th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron on Kadena Air Base, Japan overlook two units; the 44th and 67th Aircraft Maintenance Squadrons which maintain the F-15C Eagles and F-15D Eagles.

Their mission is to provide tactically and technically disciplined and proficient airmen to produce effective airpower to fight tonight and win. Their vision is to generate and maintain air superiority, forward deploy, and defend ourselves and our family from attack.

In 2012, the 44th Fighter Squadron won the Raytheon Trophy. The Raytheon Trophy is an Air Force-wide accomplishment awarded to the top fighter squadron based on air superiority or air defense. This level of recognition would not have been possible without the team of maintainers from the 18th AMXS.

The Aircraft Maintenance Squadron plans to maintain and continue providing safe and reliable combat aircraft and munitions anywhere, anytime.
