Kijimuna Fest kick-off
Students from Amelia Earhart Intermediate School on Kadena Air Base, Japan, get audience members involved in their performance by handing off their Taiko drums to spectators on July 23, 2011. The students demonstrated Taiko drumming, Eisa dances and songs for the kick-off event of the Kijimuna Festival. This annual, nine-day celebration is designed to showcase performing arts, workshops and other activities to youth. 18th Contracting Squadron receives awards

Okinawa becomes a voluntary destination point for moms-to-be
Kadena members unload bags of moms-to-be and their families off a KC-135 from mainland Japan to Kadena Air Base, Mar. 23. Members of the 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and the 909th Air Refueling Squadron were able to transport nine moms and their families to Okinawa, Japan.
